It's been a while since I've blogged anything but I have tons to blog about. We went on a family outing to the Butterfly Pavilion. It was grand fun and nice to be able to do something out of the house with just Dan, Orson and me. It's a really neat place. There are all different kinds of bugs and a big greenhouse that has butterflies that roam free with pretty flowers and ponds and stuff. Here are some of our photos.

Looking at butterflies

Butterfly on Daddy's finger

He was not very happy Daddy put it on him...

Looking at fish

That big brown thing in the middle is a big fat bug

All of the twigs at the bottom of that cage are all stick bugs... AND they get huge!

The green leaf in the middle is also a bug

One of the attractions at the Butterfly Pavilion is a rose-hair tarantula named Rosie. I've always been too freaked out by the idea of holding her but as you can see I finally did it... after MUCH convincing of myself and Dan. They give you a sticker after you hold her that says "I held Rosie" with a cartoon tarantula on it. She was a lot lighter than I thought she would be.

Dan took these last two. I love them, they look way professional. At least I think so :)

FAMILY OUTING CONTINUED...
This is a little carnival play area after you've looked at the Pavilion. It was neat that they had some kid stuff. Too bad Orson is a little young but we had fun with him :)

I was trying to hide so you could just see Orson but obviously that didn't work

I gave up
