I was watching Bones yesterday (which is like my new favorite TV show) and one of the episodes was about this volleyball team that all got pregnant and one of the girls on the team was murdered when she was 12 weeks along. Well, there was one boy that got 4 girls on the team pregnant and was so proud of himself because he was a geeky kid that just got to play around with no consequences because all these girls were going to raise their kids together. Anyway, long story, but Booth, the main FBI agent, takes this punk, geeky kid aside and opened his eyes to the situation. He told him that he was responsible for 4 kids and that one of his babies had been murdered. He also said that at anytime any of those 4 girls could get him for child support and that he was responsible for them. It wasn't a game and it wasn't something cool to just sleep with those girls, get them pregnant and think he has no responsibility for them.
I am SO thankful for a husband who is serious about his role! As a father and a husband. I'm so thankful that I have a man that I can count on, who works very hard to support Orson and me! I'm thankful that I know he goes out to a job he doesn't like and gets income to take care of us. I'm thankful that Dan cares and takes the role of a father seriously! I'm married to a wonderful man! I'm thankful for him everyday... but especially yesterday after watching Bones. You're amazing Dan, I love you!
Oh that's so wonderful! It's such a blessing to have a great man! And quit watching smut! :) Thanks for reminding me to do Thankful Thursday. I totally forgot too. What're friends for right?!
